Minutes of March 2000 Populace Meeting

March 28, 2000

Meeting called to order relatively on time (7:35 PM) by Debbie Jo, with 14 people present.

Sudentor: 5/13-5/14 Event-- Are we taking the RMI? Do they still want us? Do we have enough people interested to go? Debbie Jo will poll the populace via email to find out if we want to go, and will get in touch with the people of Sudentor to find out if they still want the RMI to show up.
Caer Galen Event: We need to know how many people will approximately be attending. Toby is planning, roughly, on cooking lunch for 50, and have food for 25 extra.
Pennsic: ISENFIR IS REGISTERED!!!! If you want to camp with Isenfir, you MUST preregister. No pre-reg, no camping.
Silver Anniversary: Still looking for sites. Phillip has offered use of his land, Kailo has to agree to the kitchen.

Beau is planning on having a party on May 7. He'll be posting something to the group later on. Just wanted everyone to keep it in mind as an addition to Crown Tourney.
We have new fencing masks.
We have been asked to do a Demo at White Hall, just a small crowd to dance, play music and maybe fight for an hour total. Trishka will email list to judge interest.

Chatelaine/Castellan: Demo at White Hall--Trishka is handling that. Spotswood Demo went very well. New comers are slowing down. More information regarding our activities will be in the papers. New deputy for western part of the Shire: John Sheppard.
Minister of Arts and Sciences: Duck Race Demo: Having trouble getting in touch with people. Nothing else is new.
Exchequer: We have money.
Herald: Some devices are in the works. Gio's email address has changed. It is now gio3339@yahoo.com. Please update your address books. A request from Gio: If you are submitting any herald-type stuff (name or device) by yourself, PLEASE make sure Gio gets a copy of it so that Shire records can remain up to date. One more thing: Toby's device has finally passed. Congratulations.
Dance Master: Still trying to find a site for the dance "graduation" thing. If you have any questions regarding dance, email Trishka or David.
Rapier Marshal: We are now practicing at Zehmer Hall on the UVA campus. It has shade, picnic tables and much parking. Very soon we will be starting
earlier, around 10:00 or 11:00 am.
Heavy (De Facto): Nothing new
Archery: Toby has gone to the archery marshall class and now needs to work at 2 events to become an official marshall, and then we'll be able to begin archery in the Shire!
Chronicler: This month she will be letting everyone know where they stand on how many issues they have left before their subscription to the 'Farings expires.
