Minutes of April 2000 Populace Meeting

April 25, 2000

The meeting was called to order by our seneschal, Debbie Jo, at 7:40pm with 12 people in attendance.

Caer Galen Spring Revel-- 4 people need rides, 3 of which are students. David requests suggestions for dances to teach, and we need flyers for the RMI for the event.
Duck Race Demo-- Trishka told us that Crown Tourney was too much of a conflict, no one could make it to the demo, so we decided to scrap the idea.
Pennsic-- PRE-REG! June 1st is the deadline. Debbie Jo will be sending an overnight prereg package on the 31. Let her know if you want your prereg to go in with hers.
Silver Anniversary-- No luck finding sites, Phillip is still offering his place. Holiday Trails is expensive, possibly looking into fairgrounds.
University-- Class list is up on line. Anne needs to know what everybody's schedule is going to be so that we know when people will be able to work. Hotels are pretty much booked up for that weekend, due to something at UVa. Please let us know if you have any extra crash space, and how many you can fit. Anne needs people at Cabell Hall at 8:00am on June 3rd to help hang banners and general set up.

Chatelaine: No new contacts. Still working on getting stuff into the papers.
Minister of Arts and Sciences: Not much of anything. Working on banners, etc. for University
Exchequer: We have money. Quarterly report went in.
Herald: Absent
De facto Heavy Marshal: Nothing
Archery: Phillip has offered his place for practice. Toby will be our marshal as soon as he helps marshal 2 events.
Rapier Marshal: due to work, school, etc., etc., it just hasn't been happening.
Dance Master: We're out of Burnley-Moran after June 7th. Dance will continue, we just need to figure out where. There will be an evening dance revel on June 10th. Maybe dessert, but just dance, really. Don't know where yet.
Red Mountain Inn Proprietor: At Pennsic, possibly assist Windmaster's Hill with a tavern-type thingy that they're doing. We need more details.
Chronicler: Quarterly report has gone in. Newsletters have gone out. Usual in and out type stuff.
Web Minister: The web page is still there.
