Minutes of September 2000 Populace Meeting

September 25, 2000

Called to order (well, as much order as we ever have) at 7:30 pm. There were 13 in attendance.

Officers' Reports

• Seneschale - She loves us. All of us. A lot. Nothing else, really.
• Chatelaine/Castellans -
• Toby: Some sporadic web activity, but not related to the demo.
• Gavin: Approx 50 on his list, 3 or 4 seem really interested.
• Teri: Handing out flyers at PVCC, some kids seem really interested.
• Minister of Arts and Sciences (MoAS) - Plugging along, getting things done for the event. Singing, palio ponies, etc, etc.
• Fiber Arts - Giving up time to prepare for the event.
• Music - Going to pick a new day, singing is going well.
• Dance Master - Dance happens, starting to do some less common dances, BE SURE TO GIVE DAVID $$$$ FOR DANCE SPACE.
• Exchequer - We have money.
• Herald - No Show.
• Rapier Marshal - Still at McIntire Park. No indoor site until November. WE WILL HAVE AN MOL FOR THE EVENT.
• Red Mountain Inn (RMI) - We need to have coin making parties before the event. Possibly at the demo.
• Minister of Minors (MoM) - Karen will be warranted soon.
• Minister of the Lists (MoL) - John Sheppard should be warranted SOON.

New Business

• Colonnades - Behind Lambeth Field Apartments (across from University Hall).  Nifty possible event site.
• Atlantian Equestrian War Practice - There is a possible site out near Debbie Jo's. She will look into it with the equestrian-types of the Shire.
• Unevent - We need a hotel room.

Old Business

• Busch Gardens Trip - Not this year.  Maybe next year, with more planning.
• Nothing But Dance (2/17/01) - Charlottesville Municipal Arts Building. Possibly have us serve lunch/small dinner.
• Period Evening (11/18/00) - They will have a shuttle running from 5:00-10:00 pm from Rosecroft to Pavilion VIII.
• Silver Anniversary (10/28/00) - 
1. Can we sell alcohol? We can through VA state law, but can we through SCA Corpora?
2. WE NEED SITE TOKENS
3. If you know an old shireling that we should invite, please let us know.
• Triangle demo - Please show up around 10 am to set up. The demo will run from 11-4.
