Minutes for Populace 11/28/00 at 7:30-ish; 12 in attendance

Officers' reports

• Seneschal - She still loves us. New seneschals E-mail list.
• Chatelaine - 
  1. Not a lot of activity on Web.
  2. New flyers for all chatelaines.
  3. Mary Baldwin Demo - Not this school year, but in the Fall is good.
  4. PVCC Demo - Nothing yet.
• Minister of Arts and Sciences (MoAS) - Making masks for Kingdom Twelfth Night. Trishka is stepping down and finding a replacement.
• Polyphony - Singing for fun now. Trying a couple of pieces to try out group to see what all the capabilities are.
• Music - Back burner until beginning of year.
• Fiber Arts - Sewing along, on schedule.
• Dance Master - December 6th's practice will be at the UVa Student Activities Building: dessert revel, in garb, pot-luck desert, maybe starting a little early.
• Exchequer - We have money.
• Chronicler - Nothing new.
• Herald - No Show-- Can't do it for awhile. All submissions need to be done by the people for awhile.
• Fighting -
• Rapier Marshal - No tourney at the Event. Only had two fighters show up. Gavin is the new defender. Practice is at the clubhouse in Nick's neighborhood.
• (Acting) Heavy Marshal - No Show.
• Thrown Weapons Marshal - No Show.
• (Acting) Archery Marshal - Nothing.
• Minister of the Lists (MoL) - Nothing new.
• Red Mountain Inn (RMI) - Currently have 1300 coins, lost 400 at event but made up for it in real money. Will be running at full force at Revels at the Inns of Court on Jan 27th in Marinus.
• Minister of Minors (MoM) - Needs warrant. Kid's stuff at Silver went well.

Old Business

• Nothing But Dance (2/17/01) - Nothing's really changed at Arts Center. Probably won't be doing lunch.? Classes don't start until noon. Business meeting at 10 for Dance Academy. No feast. David will let us know what jobs will need to be filled (Troll, etc) Class schedule will be fixed soon, approx Jan. 30.
• Games Tourney (4/21/01) - Preliminary flyer passed around to get a look at. Planned for Camp Albemarle, around 100-ish people.
• Gift Wrapping at Barnes & Noble - Exposure gift-wrapping for donations. All filled up for this year.
• Revels at the Inns of Court (1/27/01 in Marinus) - They want RMI there, we will do it
• Caer Mear Baronial Investiture/It's New to Me - In general, we will not be assisting, but may discuss with the autocrat or her designee. IF LUNCH IS NOT INCLUDED IN SITE COST, THEN WE WILL BE WILLING TO CONSIDER DOING LUNCH. Dance if possible.
