Minutes of February 2001 Populace Meeting
February 27, 2001

The actual minutes of this meeting were not submitted by the Chronicler,
so the following are the Seneschale's agenda notes for the meeting.
Populace - February 27, 2001
- Seneschale - requested rewarranting, no response as of yet.
Don't expect a problem, though.
- Curia from Tourney of Ymir
- Event protected areas will change to 100 mile radius. This event
protection is usable only once a year per group. The goal is to improve
the quality of events by encouraging groups to put more effort into
their 1 protected event per year. Kingdom level events fall under
a separate category, and if protected, are protected in their own
right and don't count against the group's "chit of eventness."
- Kingdom level event dates are usually anathema; Unevent and University
will be going unprotected.
- The Kingdom Seneschal will be handling the scheduling of all Kingdom
level events but Coronation - hopefully working 2 years in advance,
because of the short notice that the Crown is currently working on.
It's difficult to secure a site with the 3 months lead time from Sunday
of Crown Tourney weekend to Coronation, and Twelfth Night is noow
big enough that sites must be reserved FAR in advance.
- The average Kingdom level event gets 1 bid. More would be better.
- Equestrian - Chris is working on getting warranted for equestrian
activities, so we may in the forseeable future have one of the very
few folks warranted in the Kingdom!

- Red Mountain Inn - Caer Galen's Spring Revel, April 28th -
they've requested a dance practice and dancing, as well as the RMI.
- Minister of Minors - Waiting on response from kingdom, though
I believe everything has been sent
Nothing But Dance - Went well, made about $300. Would like to do a larger-scale
dance symposium next Spring. Wayne suggested possibly at Ingleside Resort
in Staunton.
