Minutes of June 1996 Populace Meeting

June 26, 1996

The meeting was held at College Inn with Michael presiding.

It was decided that Zoe would remain A&S officer until someone else could take her place. (However, she is moving back to town and will retain the position.) Exchequer reported that we still have money. The Chronicler had nothing to report, but the Deputy Chronicler reported that the Web page will be moving to the new Student Council Server. The Herald is stepping down, and Gio may take her place. The Rapier Marshal reported that regular rapier practice is on Sundays around 10am, behind his house until he moves. There is an additional practice at 6:30pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays in the McIntire Room at the Library on Market St. He wanted to find out who had the missing masks, and he pointed out that the King's Assessment Battles on July 26-28 would be a good event for a large Shire turnout.

On that note, Assessment is the co-Event of the Month, along with A Bloody Mess on July 20th.

Dominica suggested people might want to take the walking tour in D.C. on July 13th, which will include a tour of the Folger Library.

Bo is going be holding Gaelic singing at his place on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays while dance is on hold during the summer.

The Fall Demo is going to be on Sunday, September 1st on the Triangle. Setup at 10am, start at noon. David is in charge, and we need a really good showing to recruit some replacements for our graduates/movers/etc.

The meeting ended when food arrived.
