Populace Meeting
October 22
Our fearless leader, Peter Shove, called the meeting to order, a mistake, there is no order to a Populace Meeting.
Officer's reports: A&S, Zoe reports she has filed her quarterly report. Dance practice this month will be in Peabody 106. Anyone not knowing where that is, contact whoever you wish to pester and ask. If they don't know, shame on them. There will be a Handcrafters on the last Thursday of the month to help ready us for the Italian Evening.
Chronicler reports Directory updates are trickling in. She likely won't hit her target date of October, but Directory should be out soon after.
Treasurer, report deferred until she has the bank statement.
Herald, filed his quarterly report.
Marshal, practice in the Triangle at 10:00, weather permitting, until the end of November when we move to the downtown library.
Castellan, our new folk seemed to have had fun at their first event.
Seneschal's report: Event of the Month is our Italian Renaissance Evening. Event of the Month for December is Masqued Ball December 13th. I am told the cost per person will be $8.
Bianca says feast for Italian Evening will cost $6 a person, November 13th the very last drop-dead date to get the money to her. Also,Reconstruction will be Nov. 2nd.
Awards: Nick Morris won Novice Tourney at the Rapier Academy. Adrian got the Free Scholars Award. Anastasia won Best Garb at Fall Hunt. If I've scrambled any of these, my apologies. I urge anyone receiving an award or winning something, to contact me and give me all the information, spellings etc. The Shire should know about your efforts.
Populace Meetings for November and December will be shifted back one week to avoid conflict with holidays. November meeting the 19th, December, the 17th.
It hardly needs be said there will be no Handcrafters Nov 27th or Dec 25th, but I'm saying it, just in case.
