Minutes of October 1999 Populace Meeting
October 26, 1999
At sometime between 7:30 and 7:36pm the meeting was called to order by our Seneschale
in room 132 of New Cabell Hall.
OLD BUSINESS
- RMI: Scott is planning on creating new dies for us. Gio is still looking for the other
half of the old ones. MoAS has agreed to have minting parties at Hand Crafters. There will
also be minting parties planned for other times.
- Scheduling: Our Seneschale has made a decision as to what our schedule for Dance and
Hand Crafters will be. Hopefully this one will hold for awhile. Starting November 1, 1999
scheduling will be as follows:
- Populace and Fiber Arts will retain their respect Tuesday slots.
- Week 1 of ANY MONTH: Dance on Wednesday.
- Week 2: Hand Crafters on Wednesday
- Week 3: Dance on Thursday
- Week 4: Hand Crafters on Thursday.
- Week 5: (When applicable) wasn't really discussed.
- Anniversary Event: Trishka is still autocratting. April 1 or April 8 seems to be the
dates that we need to chose between. The main question is "Do we want this to be on a
Royal Weekend or not?" A possible site was Oakridge, but due to a lack of usable
kitchen was decided against for now. We are planning on a battle for Afton Mountain for
the event. Palio ponies, gaming, and A&S competition, points battles are all ideas we
are knocking around. Possibly even a big ball with a dance competition. We shall see.
NEW BUSINESS:
- We are planning on putting in a bid for Summer University 2000. Anne Westbrook has
offered to autocrat.
